Smoked Salmon Crostini
Creamy. Salty. Smoky. Savory and delicious.
Ingredients
1 baguette sliced 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
1- 8 oz box cream cheese, room temperature
4 sprigs fresh dill, minced
1 lemon juiced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
180 grams smoked salmon
red onions, thinly sliced
capers
Method
Heat the oven to 350℉ and brush olive oil on both sides of each baguette slice. Arrange them on a single layer baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, turning once. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Set aside.
Place a folded piece of salmon on each one. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture on top of each crostini.
Garnish with capers and sprigs of fresh dill.
Serve with the wine chilled. Be sure to click the link at the top of this page for a video with my tasting notes and information about this wine.
